One of my all time favorite movie characters is Captain Quint from "Jaws." My first real foray into mixed media art is an homage to this gruff guy. I've always loved the part in the movie where Quint retells his experiences on the USS Indianapolis...perhaps the reason that he wants to hunt sharks...revenge. I'll post more pics as I continue working on it. I'm not happy with the big dark spot in the center right now and I'd like to incorporate the names of sailors who died in the Indianapolis shark attacks as well as the lyrics to the sailor's diddy that Quint sings in the movie. "Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies..."
