Altered Book Swap Pages

Here's a little sneak peak at the pages I just completed for an altered book swap that I am hosting.  I am a sucker for Halloween and since the other completed pages in this book were very "seasonal" in nature I thought I'd do something inspired by my favorite holiday.

I started with some commercially made paper from Stampin' Up and added some paper tape down the center to support the spine.  I hand-colored all the orange elements using regular old magic marker.

I couldn't resist getting a raven on the page somewhere.  This sparkly fellow was perfect.  I used a charcoal pencil to add some shadowing around his body to make him stand out a bit more.

The image of the witches was cut from a decorating magazine.  (They're actually a large cut-out silhouette that you can put in your front yard.)  The yellow is magic marker again.

Some hand-written elements help embellish the pages.

HI, Chelsey
Love your blog!
I like the paper from Stampin' Up and like what you have done with adding the hand-colored orange elements and the paper-tape. I can imagine I can find some witches in some of my Martha Stewart magazines.
This is a great idea! And of course the crow is perfect! I adore crows, such wonderfully intelligent birds.
Oh! You need to put in the 'followers' option as I would sure follow your blog!
Thanks!
