Sacred Studio Time

A few old "friends" are on display in my studio.

Ahhh...studio time.   Truly wonderful, sacred time.  It's so important to have a place to go to where you can let your creativity come alive.  It could be a spare bedroom, an armoire filled with supplies to which you can pull up a chair, space in your garage or laundry room....wherever.  The important thing is that you have a place to go that is specifically meant for art-making and that, whenever you enter that space, you feel inspired.  So make it special!  Hang items/objects around you that buoy your spirit.  Burn candles or incense.  Listen to your favorite music.  Surround yourself with things that make you happy.  My studio space is still a work in progress, but will become a "finished" space in the near future with drywall, more windows, and an A/C-Heat unit.  For now, it is what it is.  To me...it's still my happy place.
