A Vintage Gem...
Many months ago I picked up this vintage photo album at a yard sale in our neighborhood. It was in pretty sad shape but had such beautiful covers I couldn't resist. I'm not sure if they're made of leather or some kind of vinyl, but the details and colors are really unique. At one time, somebody had glued in souvenir photos of places around Germany and Austria, but most were falling out or barely hanging on so I removed all of them for future use. Also had to scrap the thick brown pages that they were affixed to. They're just too brittle and definitely not acid-free. To help fix the crumbling edges of the covers, I used a combination of black masking tape and electrical tape (bookmakers would have a fit, I'm sure). Now to create new signatures of pages to go inside and then use it for a visual journal one day...
