Lunar Triptych
I don't know what's gotten into me lately. When making art I am usually most drawn to muted tones and washed out vintage-y browns and black. But lately I've been rediscovering the joy of colors...big, bold, beautiful hues that are full of energy. Maybe I've been reinvigorated by the land here at Arching Oaks, or maybe I'm just turning a new page in my personal book of art. Either way...I'm thoroughly enjoying the process of creating in a way that is a bit out of my comfort zone.
Here's my latest example of playing with color, Lunar Triptych, which will be accompanying me to the Mount Dora Art Splash on Dec. 9th. If it is calling to you, though, and you'd like to give it a new home, please contact me as soon as possible and I will reserve it for you. The size is approximately 12"X 24" and was made using acrylics on canvas. I've been using bowls/vessels in my work recently as symbols for offerings. My life is so FULL right now and I feel that I need to be giving thanks for the many blessings I have. The bowls hold my gratitude...
